Ugh...the Rain!

It's raining..again...more...still.

If this keeps up, I may have to start wearing one of these every day:

Ahhhhhh...the Sun!

Wednesday night, Iz got a special treat....

a small bowl of fluff + a couple 'nilla wafers + her own kiddie knife =

one happy, messy girl!

Then, Lo! and Behold! the SUN came out yesterday!!!

We spent as much time as possible outside...even "quiet" time was outside.

The sun was shining AGAIN this morning (we're getting spoiled!) so we met Aunt J, B & A to pick STRAWBERRIES! YUM!

It's been raining here for days...weeks...FOREVER! My fingers are permanently pruned and everything is completely waterlogged. I think I may be starting to mold...

King of the Castle....Amongst Other Things

Iz gave Hubby a Father's Day card with a punch out crown in it stating "King of the Castle"

Surprisingly enough, he wore it ALL.DAY.LONG. and....he put it back on when he got home from work today and wore it for a couple more hours. I'm going to have to hide it soon - the "King of the Castle" thing was just for one day. We ALL know who's in charge around here :)

A Week

I haven't posted in a whole week? Say it ain't so?!?!
.
The truth is...there hasn't been a whole heck of a lot to post. The last week has been pretty low key around here. Friday night I went shopping with Mel to find her a dress for a wedding (VERY funny, but she wouldn't let me bring my camera into the dressing room...because she knew I would put any pics up here - I told her I would blur her face :) but it was still a no-go) and Saturday was a day at home. Sunday afternoon Iz & I went to my niece's dance recital but they don't allow photography so no pics :( Monday we were home, Tuesday we were home, Wednesday we went to the library and visited both aunts & Nannie & Papa...but, as the world.s worst blogger, I have ZERO pictures! I know you're not surprised.

Hubby and I have also made a decision regarding preschool for Iz this fall. We had been thinking about sending her, but that would mean TWO years of preschool (and the costs that come with it). Instead, she will be home again this school year, but will be given the choice to continue with gymnastics or take dance and we will keep doing our weekly trips to the library and play dates with friends. Then she can start preschool in the Fall 2010, just go for one year and then start Kindergarten....I KNOW I will blink and she will be in school full time so one more year home won't be the worst thing for either of us! It was a big decision, but Hubby and I are both in agreement that we've made the right one.

Hubby is out-of-town for the night...Iz and I are planning on fish for dinner (which Hubby does not eat, so we don't have it nearly as often as we'd like). Then, after Iz goes to bed, I'm watching "Twilight" which I saw once when it was in the theater and DID.NOT.LIKE.AT.ALL. I'm giving it a second chance in the comfort of my own home with no expectations and no giggling girls sitting behind me. We'll see...

The Children's Museum

We took a trip down to the Children's Museum Tuesday morning and had a BLAST!

.
It was our first time down but we enjoyed it so much that I will be purchasing a membership for Iz & I so we can go whenever we want. It's very convenient for us since it's only about 20 minutes farther than the grocery store so it will be very simple to go to the museum for a couple hours, then grocery shop on the way home!

Gardening 102

I started my seedlings back in May and a lot has changed since then...my thumb isn't exactly green, but there might be a little hint around the nail :)

Iz & I joined Hubby for a round of GOLF Sunday afternoon (didn't have my camera that day - world's worst blogger that I am!) and we went back Monday afternoon since we had so much fun!

Sunday afternoon we saw 6 cute fluffy goslings but they were no where to e found Monday when I actually had my camera! We'll be going back soon so hopefully I can catch them on "film" then.

Hubby felt very ill when we got home Monday night and went immediately to bed. He stayed in bed until Wednesday afternoon when I brought him to the doctor. He has strep throat and is on antibiotics. No fun AT ALL!
.
On a better note - Iz and I went to the movies and saw UP Wednesday morning. Very cute! Very funny! We had a great time.
.
Last, but certainly not least, tomorrow we're off to a cookout at LnR's to celebrate L's Bday!!!
