Nothing...

I have nothing to say...it's official. Our life is extremely boring....so boring, in fact, that I have not dug my camera out for a week. So boring that the highlight of the past several days is Hubby bringing home his new work vehicle this afternoon (a 2009 Hyundai Sonata - SWEET!) that prompted immediate jealousy from me, who drives a 2002 Kia Sedona mini-van...which I used to love but now loathe.

I guess I could RAVE about the gorgeous weather we've had the past few days. It's felt more like August than April! We've spent a lot of time outside and I've gotten quite a bit of raking/cleaning up done AND we dug out Iz's kiddie pool which, once filled with ice cold water from the hose, was an instant success....and the water was immediately disgusting, due to the fact that the most fun thing to do with it is step in then step out, walk around the yard (which is all dirt - we have NO grass) then step back in the water to rinse off your feet....repeat 100 times in 10 minutes and VOILA! instant filthy water :)

That's it - hopefully life will get a little more exciting in the next few days. I'm planning on trying to set up a play date with my friend HC & her 3 boys so maybe I'll have pictures from that (if my head is attached that day and I actually remember my camera....AND batteries!!!!).

Oh! I do have one thing....I brought Iz to the circus last week :) We had a blast....I tried taking pics but the lighting was horrible - I did get this one though

Well, Needless to Say....

I did NOT remember to bring my camera to the birthday party on Sunday....I am probably the world's worst blogger!

We had a great time, though. The weather was great - the kids were able to play outside for quite a while. Mel had it planned great too....they played outside, then came in for cake and ice cream, then went back outside for a Scavenger Hunt which led them ALL over the place and finally back inside to break the pinata! Then Jack opened his presents and everyone left. VERY FUN!

Maybe I can scrounge up some pics other people took.....In the meantime, it's school vacation week.

That means:

1. No Jimmy
2. No story time at the library
3. No gymnastics

Whatever will we do with all our free time?

Welllllll....we're thinking of going to see the circus this afternoon, although it is pouring rain and the thought of driving into the city, parking and getting into the venue makes me want drive splinters under my fingernails!!! Especially if it's raining,which it is supposed to do for the next 3 days! Mel and the boys might join us - we'll see!

Other than that, the week is open!

Tomorrow is our 4-year wedding anniversary :) Maybe good old Auntie D will take Iz so we can have a meal alone or something, but really, we're not ones for big fancy anniversary dinners. Just a couple minutes alone would be great!

Smarty Pants

Iz walked up to me a little while ago and announced that "T-T-T-Today starts with a T!" then proceeded to tell me that "tomorrow" starts with a T, "turtle" starts with a T, and "toes" starts with a T. Simply amazing that she is already starting to sound out words....I'm pretty confident that she'll be reading in no time :)

My next-door neighbor "D" came over today while I was outside raking & Iz was playing with Callie. She and I have waved in passing and had a quick conversation while waiting for the bus, but that's it...and we have lived her for 2-1/2 years. I am so glad she (and her 2 girls) walked over. We had great conversation out on the deck - though I got a SUNBURN - and it was nice to have an adult to chat with and for Iz & the dog to have some kids to play with. She also extended an invitation to us to walk over the next nice day for more chit-chat and so Iz can check out their SWING SET! Very exciting!

One last thing...Iz has been invited to her friend, Jack's, 3rd birthday party Sunday afternoon! Her first "non-family-member" party! We are super excited about this and, if I'm smart enough to remember my camera, will post LOTS of pictures early next week.
