A Storm's A-Brewin'

From the Channel 6 Website:

Weather Notes:
Our stretch of nice quiet weather has officially come to an end. Through the rest of the afternoon skies will be cloudy, and we will have some scattered rain/snow showers. The steady precipitation will make a slow progression north and east through Wednesday. Tonight after midnight steadier snow will move into the mountains and foothills. Early Wednesday morning snow/rain will start to move into SW Maine. Through the morning the rain/snow line will continue to move inland. Even the mountains may see a brief change over to sleet or rain, but they are still expected to get quite a bit of snow. The precipitation finally moves north and east by the afternoon. That is also when the heaviest precipitation is expected. I have posted predicted snowfall totals in the graphic below. Rain/snow continues into Wednesday night. Thursday will feature still some light rain and snow. A second storm system brings us another round of heavy precipitation late Thursday into Friday.

I'm kind of expecting this storm to be more rain than anything else. However, there is that possibility of a bunch of snow getting dumped on us over the next few days.

Really? It's the end of February and Winter is *just* deciding to make an appearance?

It's too late, Winter! You're just going to have to wait for next year!!!

*Now, don't get me wrong, I'm NOT a fan of winter, or snow or cold weather. It's just that there are a lot of people who DO like the snow and rely on it for their winter fun, like skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling & ice fishing and I feel bad for the people who haven't been able to enjoy it that much this year. Yes, Auntie D, I mean YOU :)
