A Fair...

...is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord..... :) (Charlotte's Web - am I the only on who knows that?)
.
Yesterday Auntie D, Iz and I headed up to the "fay-ah" - the biggest one here in Maine and, let me tell you, we weren't the only ones! With the weather forecasting to rain today and Friday PLUS yesterday was Senior day at the fair....the place was PACKED! For the first time ever we actually had to PAY to park in someones YARD! instead of paying to park in the fair parking lot!
.
We had a great time despite the crowd...checking out the animals, crafts and, of course, the FOOD! We weren't there 15 minutes before ordering fried dough and soon after we HAD to get one of these:

Yes, that's my 3-year-old eating a bloomin' onion...it's pretty hard to find something she WON'T eat, which makes things SO much easier than a picky child. We also got fish chowdah and Iz had a hot dog. Thanks Iz for being so easy about food (since you're not always so easy about other things!)
.
The funny thing about the fair on Senior day is that the petting zoo was practically deserted :) and we were able to make it in after an extremely short wait in line.

A ride on the carousel, an ice cream and we were outta there!

Now, you may be wondering about the lack of pictures...well, let me tell you a little story...
.
Yesterday morning I took a picture with my new camera of something unbelievable that Hubby did that I just had to capture on "film" and, naturally, share with the whole Internet (yeah, that's coming, maybe tomorrow). I put my camera back in the brand new case I just bought for it and finished getting ready to go to the fair. A change of clothes for Iz in case of an accident, sweatshirts and drinks and snacks, my ATM card so we could get some cash, a couple books for Iz to read on the way up and we were READY.
.
Except...my camera. I looked around the kitchen for it (which is where I took the Hubby picture) and it was nowhere to be found. I checked the bag I packed, my purse, the van, the bedroom, living room...everywhere. Well, everywhere except where my camera was. I then assumed that Hubby had inadvertently grabbed it on his way out the door thinking it was his camera. Grrrrrrr! Now I was mad! I'd spent 20 minutes looking for my camera and was now heading to the fair without it!!! Grabbed my cell and called Hubby...no answer. Waited 5 minutes and called again...no answer! What the heck! Threw everything in the van (except Iz, she was placed in gently) and headed to go get Auntie D, sans camera.
.
UGH
.
Hubby calls me back about 20 minutes after I leave while I'm pumping gas and says he did not grab my camera. Jeepers! Now I'm really mad. I explain everything to Auntie D and she grabs her camera which is good but isn't shiny and new like mine so I didn't end up using it as much. She emailed the pictures to me and that's that.
.
Have I found my camera you ask?
.
Of course I did. It was in the bathroom. Seriously.
